I'm trying to convert an illustrator .ai file to png using inkscape but the resulting png is wrong. In the attachments, "1.ai" is the input file, "1-ai.png" is the true png exported using photopea, and "1-inkscape.png" is the wrong png converted with inkscape.
Still the „.ai“ file format is a properetary format and Adoxxxbe can put in whatever they want to make it impossible for other SVG editors and developers to read. If you have still access to AI you can export a PDF compatible ai version or PDF instead. I opened your file with AffinityDesigner2 on iPad and exported to SVG and it seems to display just fine but loose some info about used fonts - which I find understandable.
