I had an artist create a logo for me. I hoped I could import that into InkScape so I could change some small things like resizing etc.
When I open the AI file, the preview looks fine. When it is opened into InkScape, the colours look very different.,,,,
I am unfortunately not a design pro or anything, just hoping to do some small changes to the size of the text etc, but the basic image is already lost.
If there is anything I can do about this, all help is apreciated, if I should ask for dfferent files from the designer, I would like to know what kind of files I should ask for.
Thanks in advance, screenshots and files are attached. All help apreciated !
Looks like the transparent gradient stops didn´t transfer very well into Inkscape aside from another used color profile perhaps.
I quick opened it in Affinity Designer and saved to SVG. Colours look ok but some geometry of text is garbled now. Don´t have the time right now to dig deeper:
Thank yo very mch @polygon. I think from this I should probably be able to copy paste.... interesting thing is, when I opened it up in InkScape, the text trasferred correct for me....
Any idea if there is anything I can ask to the designer to help me with this in the future ?
Just for future reference if someone bumps into the same problem.
I also tried Affinity Designer myself. It is interesting to see that the text imports correct in InkScape with me but also does not import correctly in Affinity Designer, both on the same computer so it should have the same fonts.

Could be an font issue on my side not having the same installed. In the future I guess a PDF would be a better choice for compatibility reasons.
