HI Guys, hope this is an easy solution to my question. Just got back into CNC have 20 years away from it!

Using Inksacpe to create the g-code to use with Mach 3.

I hace created a logo whick middles / centres. When I simulate the cut path it is cutting the perimeter first and not the centres, which is not desirable.=

So is there and option to set the cut order so it cuts the centres of letters out first befor cutting out the actual letter.

Hope some one can help me !!!!. Findingย  inkscape a bit confusing, used Abobe Illustrator in my day job for 25 years, so there is a lot of differences to get my head around !

Thanks in advance for any help

There is no way in Inkscape to set the cutting order.

It is possible to set the order of the paths within the file.ย  I don't know if that would translate to the order of cutting.ย  But it would be easy enough to try it.ย  Well, it would be easy in a small file.ย  If you have a very complex drawing, it might take a little longer.

Open Object menu > Objects.ย  That shows the order.ย  You can drag and drop the objects within that dialog.

Try selecting the path for your words and reverse (path>> reverse) in Inkscape.ย

If you get really desperate, you might try selecting the bits that you want done first and bring them to the top (select and page up (short cut)). That might help. I would try it with one bit first and confirm rather than doing all of them.ย
