    Hi there,

    ย

I have two images, and they have a lot of white spaces outside the real image.

1 - What are the methods to remove white space on a image?

2- What are the methods to select both image, and resize the document such that the document is shrink to image size without all the white spaces ?
I have tried "resize page to drawing or selection and that did not work because the image itself has white space.

It sounds like you have imported a raster image, or 2 of them?ย  It might be better to use a raster editor, for whatever you're planning to do with them?

It's hard to suggest what to do, without knowing more about the images and what your ultimate goal is with them.

The easiest thing would be to use Clipping, which essentially hides the white space.ย  It does not technically remove anything, it just hides it.ย  Here's how:

    • Draw a rectangle around the part of the image you want to see
    • Select the rectangle and the image
    • Object menu > Clip > Set

However, there are situations where that won't be acceptable, because the image will be its original size with the white space.ย  That could cause problems, depending on what you're going to do with them afterwards.

Or maybe you're planning to use Trace Bitmap on them, to convert to vector?ย  If that's your plan, don't bother with the clipping.ย  Just trace them as they are, and then you can just select and remove the white part after tracing.

If that doesn't work, please show us the image and also please tell us what your ultimate goal is.ย  Then we can put you on the best track for successย  ๐Ÿ™‚
