As the title says and the screenshot below.Β  I made a shape, converted it to a path, altered it, and copied it to the clipboard.Β  It is a filled path with no stroke.Β  I used Ctrl+C and Edit>Copy.Β  When I use any of the pen tools with Shape: From Clipboard selected, I get an unfilled stroke.Β  This was working fine when I first installed the program.Β  It is now doing this, though I have not changed anything.Β  How do I get this to be a solid line and not an outline?

Just checked - works as expected. Maybe Reset Inkscape Preferences, restart Inkscape and try again.

Thanks.Β  I uninstalled and reinstalled the program since it's been so buggy.Β  It still doesn't work.Β  I have the shaped copied.Β  It is filled black with no stroke.Β  And now it's suddenly an outline.Β  It looks fine if I use Bend to Clipboard, but then it's useless because it has no nodes you can alter.

Maybe look for [Preferences > Tools > Pencil] and set [Style of new objects: Last used style].

I'd still try resetting the preferences... they are in the user profile and persistent after un-installing.

The Pen tool looks like it is set to stroke and no fill. A double-click on the tool will access its settings.
