Also, I've been experiencing that the app crashes when I'm trying to use it. Not more often but periodically. It happens when I try to fix up my projects too many times. when I do this, it freezes up then it crashes. Was another reason I asked the question. Just to let everyone know...
Hello. I am trying to install Inkscape 1.3.1 on my Mac (Core Intel Core I7). Prior to installing inkscape 1.3.1, I moved the old application to the trash. Once the new application was installed I brought up the application but there was a long delay before it came up. I tried closing it and reopening it but there was still a long delay. I tried moving the 1.3.1 version to the trash and reinstalling but I still have the same problem, it takes a long time to open the application. Is there something that I am doing wrong of need to do? Thanks. Joe
I'd use App-Cleaner.app to get rid of everything Inkscape related in the Application Support folder and do a fresh install incl. Mac restart. Moving the app to,trash will keep prefs and caches etc alive.
But regarding the warning I'll wait with 1.3.1 though.
Thanks Polygon. I tried that with same results. Not a big thing because I don’t open and close it a lot. As long as I am not having problems with other things I need to do I am happy. :-)
Hi, was wondering when the next version of Inkscape is coming? Like Inkscape 1.4 for example.
It could be a while... many months... 1.3 was just released.

Just proper crash/bug reports at https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inbox/-/issues/
can improve Inkscape as developer most likely are not present in these fora.
Cool Thanks 😉
