Hello my friends. I need your help. The attached drawing show some parts for a model airplane balsa kit I am developing. I got from the designer each file in JPEG. When converting to Inkscape, I get the complete sheet with all parts. However, my laser machine is smaller and I have to refit parts differently to fit my machine so I need to have all parts fully independent from the original drawing.
I have tried "object to path", "Break a part" with no result. What can I do? Thanks a lot. EDUARDO
You have 1487 objects in a group in your file. When grouping work for your machine you might need to ungroup - select new and make new groups to copy+paste into new file/s.
Thanks but I don't understand what you are telling me. What do you mean with 1487 groups? I see only some parts for my model. My laser machine is just 20 x 30 centimetres and the balsa sheet on the drawing is about 40 cms. length. So i have to change the position of each part making perhaps two or three shorter balsa sheets to fit my machine.
Yes, because this prevents parts from falling off the balsa sheet. We pack our kits with parts still attached to the balsa but the builder separates each part as needed when assembling the model. I thought you would like to see the catalogue of our balsa model airplane kits.

I meant you have 1487 objects in a group; ungroup and select new to make new groups to copy*paste over into new page size that´s fit your machine:
Much clear explanation, thanks. I found the "Ungroup". I will try to do it. If I run into any trouble, I'll contact you again. Thanks a lot.
From the screenshot it seems some strokes are not complete. Is it intentional?

Ah I see - totally got it.
Thanks for all your help. I appreciate this very much
Glad to help.
