Congratulations on a wonderful release. So far I am having a ball of a time using the newer version. I have one question though.
On the previous version there is an option to adjust the blur and opacity for each layer and also under the normal fill and stroke dialogue. Not sure where the option is hiding in the newer 1.2 version. Or perhaps it was omitted in this release?

The "blur", honestly, I don't know the answer... but the opacity control is still accessible otherwise. See my answer, here.

You just select layer in "layers" (ctrl+shift+l)Β and go to "fill and stroke" and blur.
