I really hope someone can help me with this. I tried adding an extension and upon restarting inkscape it crashes and won't open. It flashes a screen too quick to be able to see what it says. This has happened before and the solution was to delete and reinstall inkscape, also just deleting the preferences.xml file has worked as well. This time, nothing is working. I've deleted the app, all associated files in application support and the entire file from .config. Downloaded a fresh image, reinstalled and it still refuses to start. I'm at a loss of what to try next.
I missed deleting one of the files - once it was deleted, a clean install allowed it to open. The file I missed was org.inkscape.Inkscape found in ~/Library/Application Support.

Are you sure you deleted everything from the former installation? I guess there is something remaining. I use Appcleaner.app for this purpose.
