hello dear friends

well i am right at the starting point of my inkscape journey -

sometimes i can apply colors - sometimes not - at the moment i am pulling my hair - it is not possible to add the color to the object - whatever i do .- it fails

look here - this is quite crazy - i cannot apply the color . why is this so

hmm - what is the cause - i guess it will depend - i guess it has to do with general settings.

We cannot see the entire interface to tell for sure, but it is common for the menu: View>Display Mode is set to Outlines. Setting the mode to Normal should show the colors.

WELL that sounds very interesting.

note: on the canvas-window - note: it is naemed "outline" -

so i am probably in the wrong setup...

update:

the differnt modes: in -> "view" - this changes the display mode:

normal;

outline: shows only the pathways 

So - we can conclude: i have to have a closer look at the view mode!!
