    How to show objects outside of the page boundaries? It used to be possible as I used to place temporary elements outside.

    Sure and I thought itΒ΄s on by default. Not in front of Inkscape but I believe itΒ΄s a Document property.

    Oh yes, you're right. I had the option "Clip to Page" enabled not knowing what that does. Sorry. My bad.
