Hi, keep in mind this is a question of a beginner with Inkscape. I'm trying to do a simple logo with Inkscape, I have a vague idea of how to do it but also some questions. Here is the logo: My Logo
As you can see, basically there are some circles. However, I'd like to know how to link them and do almost vertical lines, as you can see in this image.Logo Remarks
I'm sorry for this simple question, I just want to learn. If you know a tutorial about this, let me know. I've been trying to achieve the same, I'm close but not exactly like that.
Blue parts of the logo are made of circles, so is the negative space. Vertically wise those blue and negative circles aren't aligned by their center. Negative ones are misaligned with blue ones' center. The upper ones (talking about negative circles now) are moved a bit down compared to the upper blue ones, and the lower ones are moved a bit up compared to the lower blue ones. Because of that, there is some vertical space between their edges. If you connect those 2 edges with a straight line using bezier tool, you'll get the result you're looking for. When using the bezier tool, turn on "Snap nodes, paths, and handles" and then also turn on "Snap smooth nodes, incl. quadrant points of ellipses" to be able to connect edges of 2 circles and get the vertical line you want.
Yes, I didn't realize it looks similar to Sony. By the way, I'm getting close, only problem so far is how to transform the 3rd circle. I select Nodes (F2), mark a region but, for some reason, those red squares in your image don't show up, so I can drag and drop to the left bottom corner. I keep investigating.

I'll link a gyazo of example:

I hope this helps.
Thanks! I will try to do it.
Maybe this:
Putting the square corners on the pair will allow you to increase the tangent verticals if desired.

The alignment tool is great for lining up centers and edges as well.
Tyler, that was Fantastic!!!!
More vertical:
Apologies for not having mouse-clicks displayed.
Getting close to the Sony walkman logo, methinks.

Thanks for all your help!
Almost done! I need more practice but it's getting close to what I want. Almost done logo
Looks like you're getting along just fine.
