    Hello Allย ๐Ÿ™‚

    Looking for some guidance please.

I have searched for an answer and even a similar problem but so far no joy.ย  I am using Inkscape 1.2 on a Windows 10 machine.ย  Just using my mouse, nothing fancy.ย  I have tried exporting in multiple formats and all of the stroke and fill settings.ย  Can seem to get around my issue.ย ย

Ok now to my problem. I am creating some "squigglies" with the PowerStroke path effect.ย  That works great.ย  However when I export them to do laser burning and cutting there are extra lines at the redirection points on the path.ย  This is causing me a lot of extra work and cleanup to get the geometry ready for the laser.ย  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.ย  Thanks.ย  Images attached.ย

    I'd try Path>Union, then Path>Break apart, then Path>Union again.

If that fails,ย I would try the bucket tool to make new objects.

Thanks so much @TylerDurden!ย  Path Union was all I needed.ย ๐Ÿ‘

NB Path>Union may leave islands within objects... if so, break-apart, union.
