Today I tried to install Inkscape 1.2 on my Kubuntu 22.04 machine through ppa but got this error:

I'd ask the Devs on the user chat channel:Β https://chat.inkscape.org/channel/inkscape_user

If no answer from above I did have initial issue in I chose the wrong PPA. At time it was not out yet for 1.2.

Used this link for 1.2 PPAΒ  https://launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/+archive/ubuntu/stable-1.2

Using the 1.1 PPA at time it failed. Removed CLI and let it install 1.1 from repo.

    Added correct PPA and installed.

Maybe there are remnants left, could remove first and install from PPA. Works here, actually purged once with no issue in Inkscape just so I could see what actual extensions are fresh installed for my backup records.

    Check first on Tyler's link.

Solution as suggested by Mc on chat server:

sudo apt remove lib2geom1.1.0 inkscape && sudo apt install inkscape

Thanks Mendy. I had also old PPAs there. I removed them after using the above solution.
