When I try to save a design as either a DXF or JPG the attached error message pops up and I'm unable to save it. I am able to save as an SVG. Any ideas of how to correct the DXF and JPG download problem are greatly appreciated!

1. Describe the source of the file: created with Inkscape, downloaded, imported from another program, etc.
2. Describe your OS (your computer's Operating System: Mac/Windows/Linux/etc. & version).
3. Describe the version of Inkscape and the installer you used (the file you downloaded from the website: .msi/.exe/.zip/other ). 
4. Describe any special hardware being used, like tablet/stylus or multiple monitors.

Bonus points, if you:

• Attach* an example SVG file that has the issue.

Thanks so much for the reply- Please see attached an example of one SVG that won't also download as a DXF or JPG (although none of my SVG files will download as DXF/JPG).

1. File was created entirely in Inkscape

2. Using a Mac, Mojave version 10.14.6

3. Inksape version 1.2.0 (dc2aeda). I believe the file I downloaded from the website is a dmg

4. No special hardware, just a MacBook pro-

I was successful opening and saving the file as a dxf, by ungrouping the objects until only path objects remained.  v1.2, Linux Mint.

I got errors by trying to save as dxf without ungrouping.

I did not need to ungroup in v1.1.2 in Windows.

Thank you! Do you have information about the specific steps you took? I have ungrouped all the items and converted them to path objects (not text) and am still unable to save it as a DXF-

I didn't do much more than ungroup and use save-a-copy as dxf, making sure that mm was selected as units and polyline option was unchecked.

It seems the last version (1.1.2) was working better with extensions, but there is a development/testing build of 1.2 that can be tried, linked at the bottom of the current report.
