i wanted to check out a new version of inkscape yesterday but i didn't read and it uninstalled this version of inkscape with the UI that i'm used to. I've been trying out every release from 0.92.4 to 1.1 and i can't seem to find the version that has these icons on the right. I'd appreciate if someone knew or if there was an extension to get them on the newer versions. the closest I got was 1.0 but the icons still felt a bit off.

I can recreate this look withΒ 1.0.2 (e86c8708, 2021-01-15) aside from a different icon set IΒ used with View->Wide:
Normally, in the menu, under Help, you have "About Inkscape". Possibly on MacOS, you'll find this under the apple icon (not sure).
Something between 1.0 and <1.2, since the snapping bar is visible.
1.3 alpha can put the snapping bar back on the right, and has many cool features.
