I just updated to Inkscape 1.0. In the previous version, I had created a .gpl file with my custom colors and had added it to the Programs<Inkscape<Shared<Palettes folder with no problems.
However, in the new version, when I add the same exact file that I had moved out of the original folder into a new folder (so I didn't delete it during the removal of the old Inkscape version), and then back into the palette folder in Inkscape 1.0. When I restarted Inkscape, my new palette was there but ALL other palettes are gone. The only other item listed when I click on the arrow that lets me select my palette when I'm in a document is "Auto".ย I completely uninstalled and did a clean reinstall. All the originalย palettes were there. I tried to add my custom palette back to the same folder and the original palettes disappeared again and only my custom and "Auto" are in the palette menu in the document. I don't understand why both a "paste" and a "move" command used to add the new folder would cause all other folder files to deleteย when I did not tellย it to replace anything, just either paste what I copied or directly move it from folder to folder. I would reallyย like to avoid puting the custom palette in preferences because I get popups telling me that the preferences folder is invalid and only default settings can be used. Please help!

I never used custom palettes until version 1.0. This is were I put them: 'Program Files > Inkscape > share > inkscape > palettes'
That's where I tried in 1.0 and it deleted the original files every time. ๐ Thank you for responding though.
