I'm working on a going-away gift for a departing service member. I can use the image to laser engrave, but I'm struggling with cutting it out. I have read through many tutorials and watched some videos, and while I'm learning more, I'm not making any headway on the cut. I'm behind the curve as the service member is leaving soon. Any thoughts on where to look? I want to engrave the logo and then cut it out.

The color logo didn't engrave very well. There wasn't enough contrast. So, I converted it to grey and increased contrast.

    TIA!

Draw a large rectangle around your image - use the fill bucket and click in-between rectangle and motive. Delete rectangle and the outer rim (with the Nodeย tool)ย and youยดll be left with a contour around your design.
