I hadn't used Inkscape forum for a couple of years and couldn't sign in, so had to create a new registry, but now I'm having the same problem. I posted a new topic, but it told me to the page was under moderation and my post night not be published. Not sure what to do...
I wasn't being inpatient, just a little confused. Sorry! I know I'm using inkscape as a free user and I'm I'm grateful for it and if I could afford it, I would make a donation as it's great platformfor artists (unfortunately I'm on long term illness, so no job), but I wish that people wouldn't be so snippy here. That's the reason that I stopped using this forum for so long, because users or moderators are often the inpatient ones. Even if you're a volunteer, you have the option to either not answer or answer nicely. Thank you for your time all the same. All the best
Every new member has to have their first two comments manually approved. I understand it can be a little inconvenient when your comments don't appear instantly, but it's the only way to stop the ridiculous number of spammers who try to pollute the site with their garbage on a daily basis.
You now have two approved comments so future posts will show automatically. Welcome to the forum!

Do we ever get released from moderation? Or is it some permanent thing?

I believe you need at least 2 approved entries/replies which just happened right now with your posting above.
