Am sending the file because embedding it didn't work.

A file is useful only if we know what your question is, @garnaldi.

What is it that you would like to know?

Oh!  the questions are in the body of the attachment.  Haven't you been able to open it?  If it couldn't be opened I would like to know what I can do to enable this.  The attached file is an OpenOffice .odt.

I didn't even open it... It's very uncommon to append an office file to a forum post. Why would anyone helping here open an appended office file, when the asker could just put their question into the form?

If you'd like a timely reply, please copy the question into the forum post, and - if applicable - append any svg files or screenshots that help explain the problem.

I didn't realize that there was reluctance to open an attachment in Inkscape.  Educate a novice... I am putting the text of that attachment here to comply.  I hope all will be well now.

    TEXT FLOW INTO FRAME

Lorem ipsum text: no problem, it flows in the circle every time. I put 3 HELLO inside Lorem ipsum text and the whole thing still gets inserted. However, I attempt to insert a web sentence in the shape; it won't go in and disappears. I write a few words of my own in Inkscape; they won't flow in and disappear. Trying this and that, I had a surprise: if I copied and pasted a web sentence in Wordpad, then copied/pasted it in Inkscape, the sentence got accepted into the shape. If I typed a few words in Wordpad and copied them then pasted them in Inkscape, they too flowed in without problems. Now I have several questions:

what is the magic in Lorem ipsum that enables its continuous and reliable performance? Why can't ordinary everyday text behave like it? What is the secret in Wordpad allowing words emanating from it to find their way into Inkscape's shapes?

    Please explain "web sentence"...
