When I export to pdf, the result has edges that bleed into each other (see attached with the original inkscape file on the left and the resulting pdf on the right). I've tried 96 dpi and 200 dpi, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Any advice on what I can do to fix this?
I don't think it's the pdf reader that's at fault. I just did a work-around by saving as a tiff, and then using adobe to convert the tiff into a pdf. That worked perfectly.

I'd try removing any strokes from the text. PDF readers can make fine lines appear thicker.

And now you have a PDF container with a tiff inside. Or what kind of conversion you´re talking about?
