When typing a text in a text object all goes fine until I type "enter"
Then the cursor instread of going down to the next line it goes back to the starting point and overlay the previous text with the new one. And again after doing "enter"
Of course after a couple of time all text piles up and it is totally unreadable.
I must have changed some paramteres but don't know which one.
Is there anyone who could help me on this ? Thanks a lot beforehand
thank you for this problem resolution. I -with 6 monthes passion in using Inkscape 1.3.2- meet the same problem from time to time. Since I use a localized (hungarian UI) version of Inkscape, I cannot identify/find the line-spacing control mentioned. Can you help me further so I can find this tool?
@PeterFuezi, Controls are now simplified, as SVG text has changed over time. The line spacing control may be in a drop down menu if the window is made smaller.

I'd try clicking on the question mark by the line-spacing controls.
Hi Tyler,
You solved it.....as simple as that
Thanks a lot for your good advice
Kind regards

Is there a way to save the desired line spacing, e.g., 1.6" as a default so I won't have to enter it each time I open a new document?
