I'm trying to make straight lines and I have been using the pen tool where I go to my start point, click with the mouse, go to end point and click again on the mouse then right click on the mouse to move onto the next line. I've done that for years. But when I had to reinstall Inkscape things must have changed somehow because now when I right click the line disappears. I've tried changing the stroke styles and fill color and the line will be there and be fine until I right click to move onto the next line. I'm sure this is an easy thing to fix but I can't for the life of me figure out what is doing it. Can anyone help me?
I am taking SVGs i get from silhouettedesignstore.come and opening them in Inkscape so that I can then take the edited files and open them in Cricut Design Space and cut them out using my Cricut machine. I do this because otherwise it cuts perforated lines, a bunch of tiny cuts (a dashed line) and I am trying to make it a solid score line. In case this helps to explain what I'm needing help with.
It's driving me crazy because I literally was just able to do this and now I can't and my knowledge of Inkscape is very much so a super beginner level and I have even tried watching videos on Youtube. I feel like I'm missing something super easy and obvious.
