before i updated, i could both export as png and save as png. i'm now on 1.3.2 (on Windows 10) and i don't even have the option to save as png. i do have the export option, but it doesn't seem to work correctly. it takes FOREVER, and if i then try to open the png file in Paint i get a message saying the file format is not currently supported or is not a valid bitmap. i've found similar issues on an internet search, but they are always years old and the work arounds are no longer relevant.

has anyone experienced this or have any ideas?
Before proceeding further, I'd reset the preferences and relaunch Inkscape.
done, but with same result. any other ideas?
The suggested mode for png from Inkscape has been the Export dialog.
Ensure the tab in the dialog is selected correctly for page/selection/document/custom.
There is a gear icon in the export dialog that has options. Here are my settings which are working well in Win 10. v 1.3.2
all right. that's what i have too. maybe i'll just do a fresh install and see if that helps. thanks Tyler
