Linux MInt 20.2 Inkscape 0.92 downloaded from Mint repository.
Why do my default tools like white on grey? It looks like they are "grey'd out". I can not easily see the white tool icons against the light grey background.
Okay. I had grabbed the file from the depository pointed to in Mint 20.2. So per the link provided I grabbed 1.1. Same thing. The tools icon are as shown above. Maybe it's a Mint (Cinnamon) theme choice?

Are you relying on 0.92? We´re at 1.1.1 already: https://inkscape.org/release/1.1.1/gnulinux/

Sorry - but Linux is not my cup of tea. You´ll have to wait for someone experienced with this OS like Tyler.
Found it.... Preferences > Interface > Themeing > changed it from "Use system icons (ePapirus-Dark)" to "hicolor". Now its back to what I want.
