Can anyone tell me where to locate the Bounding Box definition selection for Visual and Geometric bounding boxes? The online Manual sections about Patterns and Transformations use the Tools in Preferences, but it is not there. Where is it now?
One can choose between two definitions for the bounding box in the Tools section of the Inkscape Preferences dialog (File → Inkscape Preferences... (Shift+Ctrl+P)).
For the bounding box options: File menu > Preferences > Tools
(click on Tools, then look on the right side of the window for the options)
For patterns and transformations, if I understand what you're asking is Preferences > Behavior > Transforms (Or you can also find these options on the Selection tool control bar - on the far right side). (If you have a small screen, you might not see the buttons. Instead, you'll see....hopefully....a TINY triangle "arrow" and when you click on it, a text menu drops down with the options.)
If that's not what you meant, maybe you could clarify?
Thank you, I found what I sought by accident. What I did not realize was to click on the 'Tools' word itself instead of an item in the list of options. Thank you! The question was the same for both Patterns and Transformations. Thanks to you, I am now good on both.

brynn,
Thank you, I found what I sought by accident. What I did not realize was to click on the 'Tools' word itself instead of an item in the list of options. Thank you! The question was the same for both Patterns and Transformations. Thanks to you, I am now good on both.
Ps. This part of the Manual is correct.
