Apologies if this seems like a question with an obvious answer. Also apologies if this post is done improperly, I made this account today and I'm not exactly sure how forums are supposed to work.
The instructions for the extension were simple: download the zip file, then extract the zip file into the "extensions" folder of Inkscape.
Then, a new file type should appear in the "save as" drop down menu: OpenSCAD cookie cutter file.
However, this file type hasn't appeared. I am not sure if I misinterpreted the instructions in some way or if I am supposed to activate the extension somehow. It appears I cannot ask the creator of the extension directly either, as I need 2 approved posts to comment on the extension's page.

I am trying to install an extension to my Inkscape for the first time (OpenSCAD cookie cutter file output by arpruss https://inkscape.org/~arpruss/%E2%98%85openscad-cookie-cutter-file-output). I am using Inkscape 1.2.2 (732a01da63, 2022-12-09) on a Windows 10 machine.

Any help would be appreciated.
The extension seems to not being updated in a long time and also not supporting the latest versions of Inkscape, at least according to this post:

I see... thanks. That's a real shame, it looked so cool!
