I'm a newbie - have been working in artscape for about a month now. I have had this issue happen a few times. I have one file I've been working in and I keep saving new versions as I've made major updates. Here are the details of each "blank" issue I've had:
1. First time, I had saved but not closed my file. It was locked up the next day so I had to force close Inkscape. When I reopened my file, it was blank. The 'lines' were there if I clicked and dragged (selected) and the fills / lines are all correct in the "fill & stroke" section BUT they show up blank on the screen. After looking for a known bug fix (couldn't find anything), I reassigned all of the lines and fills and it was ok for about a week. [For reference, I have the latest version of Inkscape 1.0.2 AND a Mac with up to date software macOS Catalina 10.15.7]
2. The second time, I had saved "v6" and closed Inkscape. When I opened up my recent file, it was blank again. I opened multiple older versions, and the older versions were not showing up blank. I closed Inkscape, opened up an old version again (was getting frustrated / desperate!!). I tried opening my recent file and it looked just fine - all the fills/strokes were showing up they way they should!!!!
3. Same day, working in this recent file v6...in the middle of working on this, it went blank. First, a block went blank (as if I drew a white box over a section of the drawing). I tried to click&drag to select...just figured it was refreshing funny. But it all went blank! I've tried to repeat my steps that helped me in the past - not working. I tried searching on forums...maybe I'm not using the smartest words to describe the issue? I also tried deleting unnecessary layers to make the file smaller. [For reference, the file that I'm trying to "restore" v6 is 21MB; saved a new version v7 to try to fix it and trimmed down layers and it's now 3.4MB]
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!! :o) I am trying to kick off my side job / hobby by submitting a proof for a coloring book and it's due this THURSDAY!!!! AHHHHHH!!!! :o\

Hi Psukaren,
It might help if you upload the svg.
Hope you'll get it finished in time.
