I am unable to properly import a pdf with math notations. All the notations are messed up. It's fine with Poppler/Cairo, but this way, I can only import a single page at a time. Using the internal import causes that issue with the notations.
Inkscape's native pdf import will substitute pdf fonts with the closest matching font available. In this case, it seems the math font has been matched to an asian font installed on your system. Perhaps you can identify and install the missing font.
It's possible that there is no matching font. The application that generated the math notation may have created a unique custom font for these characters. There are tools available to extract embedded fonts from pdf files, which you could then install on your machine for perfect character reproduction. This is slow of course, and only justified for large documents with few embedded fonts.

I couldn't find anything to fix this. Please help.
Here's what I think is happening.
