    Hi,

I had a svg file with a raster image embedded inside (It was generated from AI). However, when I export it into a pdf format, the quality of the image looks very bad. Can anyone please have a look and see why this is the case? I uploaded both the svg and pdf file for you to check.

    Hi zruan1991,
The image in the file has a very low resolution with not enough pixels to look sharp. If you zoom in in Inkscape, you can see the little squares.
It is a raster image, not a sharp vector image.
So the quality was already bad before it was exported to pdf.

    Hi Kirstie,

Thanks for the reply. I dive deeper into this issue. I don't think it is due to the quality of the raster image, but instead because they way inkscape render a masked image. I now prepared another example to reproduce this problem. As can be seen, inkscape seems to have trouble generating the correct image when a masked is assiciated with it internally.

Good catch. Try the following: Hit "Print document" icon and go tab: Rendering: check Bitmap and adjust DPI=300 for Bitmap options:

The Offset and AA is browser specific I guess. Inkscape and Pdf looks ok here. Seems PDF or zipped files is not supported by this forum.
