I've managed to draw a circle (even as I wanted, though why did I have to remove that line from the centre trying to make it a piechart?)
I want to erase two parts of the circle so as to make it two arrowhead arcs (by adding lines). Cannot understand the erase tool at all; why can't it work, well, like an eraser? Thanks in advance.

Many basic questions can be answered by stepping though the simple tutorials in Inkscape's Help menu.
