I plan to extrude the following shape with Bezier curve as drawn as straight line segments:

Start a 9 o'clock position. Proceed line segments to 12, 3, 6. and close. Changed with "Object to Path." Chose "Edit paths by nodes." Chose "Path effects." Chose "Corners..."

The rounded corners display at the 12, 3, and 6 o'clock positions but not at the origin point - 9 o'clock position. I have tried to manually insert a node there but it will not stay.

    I am using Inkscape 1.0.2 . Windows 10.

Thank you in advance for insight to why this is occurring.

What do you expect from "object to Path" in this context?

How many nodes do you have in that "rectangle"?

I am not sure. Are you saying that I don't have to do "Object to Path?"

3 where it should be 4

Drawing with the Bézier tool (without Shape) generates already a Path.

So why there are just 3 nodes when you need 4?
