a few days ago, I made a set of animation frames for export into gimp to create a gif, [300 frames]. When I built the frames i did so with each frame on a new layer, with all of the frames on top of each other at 0,0. And when i did my batch export, i had to drag each frame into its own space because my first export gave me 300 pngs that all looked the same [ie. the topmost layer].
I built the frames on top of each other because of the coordinate system, where i had an object moving across the screen and i [for example] increased the x coordinate by 100 each frame.
1. is there a way to have the 300 layers still on top of each other at 0,0 and batch expoert the lot where each later creates an individual png,
or,
2. is there a way to change the coordinate system to being localised to the frame image, so for example, if i drag my frame to [-100, 700], can i alter the frame coordinates to a false [0,0] making -100=0 and 700=0, and then move my object +100 relative to the false [0,0], if that makes sense.
A third question could be: is there a better workflow than the way i did this,
Hi, cheers for your reply, there is a tick-box 'Export Selected Only', as soon as i selected this, the batch output was correct. I didn't try ticking it before because I was exporting every layer and i assumed this was only for if a select subset of layers were needing to be exported---sure beats dragging 200 odd layers all over the place.
Hi,
I'm new here, so 'hi' to anyone who answers,

all answers are appreciated, cheers Sean
[File > Export...] opens the export dialog. Go to the [Layers] tab. Select png format, set the file path, then [Export].
