Hey
Is it possible to draw shapes such as ellipses and rectangles by two clicks instead of holding and dragging?
Sort of in the same way that can do with lines. You can draw those either by dragging or by repeated clics.
There´s a Path effect that can generate a circle from 2 node straight line take it as the diameter:
Not sure about rectangles - unless you might be generating Symbols - but it´s click+drag to insert. So if you´re having difficulties with that click+drag procedure you might be lost with the GUI of Inkscape.
