Hello,
I created a path with Gimp then I imported in Inkscape. I just want to put a text on the path but it doesn't work (the text goes in the corner).
With another path, it works well. With another text, it doesn't work.
I attach an example file. I use Inkscape 0.92.5 on Ubuntu 20.04.
Thank you.
I´m not able to get any text on that spiral path. When I make my own in GIMP and export as SVG it will work - seems you´re using Inkscape 0,92?
I attached my GIMP file and the exported SVG spiral for you to experiment.
Thank you very much even if I don't understand why it doesn't work.
Can you confirm using version 0.92 of Inkscape from 2017?
Remove # from path id.
This is amazing and ridiculous at the same time. What normal user knows something like that? And again: I didn´t get this issue with GIMP2.10.38+Inkscape1.4beta2.
I confirm using version 0.92 of inkscape. It's the version installed now on Ubuntu.
