    Hello,

I didn't know if the idea was wrote already. If yes, tell me, I will delete it.
At a moment I write a script about my experience with „Hobbyschneidplotter“ (hobby vinyl cutter / craft plotter). Therefore I would like to have a cover with the title „Hobbyschneidplotter“ in different colours. I don't like to set every letter one by one. Here I remember something happens in 2004. I had a pdf-file with text open it in canvas 6.0. Every words were separated in there single letters.
In this way I took libre office write and draw to try this. I wrote the word and in writer I took the draw function and draw something like circles, boxes and others. This I store as pdf-file. This pdf-file I open in Inkscape. And voila, I get a file with path and the word where separated in there single letters, after I said “change into path”. I needn't any another function. The letters are all on the same line and have a contoure and a filling. This is practical if you need founts or font work. It works with word too.
The cover and some part of the script in German language, you find under this code up.picr.de/46637191jm.pdf . Put it in the address line of the browser. Perhaps it could help a little bit, especial the words of the backside cover find there goal.
