You have a group of 4 separate segments. To connect them: ungroup - take the Node tool and drag a rectangle to select every node - then hit: "Join elected nodes" - done.
I agree with Polygon, that for this case simply "Join elected nodes" work well and is simpler than the extension. The extension comes in handy when you need to specify a tolerance for how close the nodes should be to join them.
I have now updated the extionsion adding some warnings instead of throwing errors when trying with groups, shape-elements, text or paths with inkscape-effects on.
The example was only part of a bigger SVG converted from Postscript. For me it only worked by selecting only two overlapping nodes step by step. Maybe I did something wrong ;-)
Hello,
I wanted to use the extension "removeduplicatenodes" by Ellen Wasbo for the attached svg.
But I throws the attached errors.
What needs to be done to fix this ?
Regards Heinz

Ok. Thanks.

You can Path->Combine before trying to connect all in one go.
