Beyond the Basics Can you filter, organise, or hide fonts?

There are some fonts I've disabled in Font Book (mainly non-english ones) but they're still showing in Inkscape. Is there a way to stop them being listed? Or to have a favourites list that doesn't include the disabled fonts?

I'm using Inkscape 1.1 on a Mac. Any help would be much appreciated.

I wish we could prioritize the list (scrolling beyond 200 NotoSans fonts is the pest) but to no avail. This has to be explicit implemented by a macOS developer (which the project don´t has)  to skip foreign language fonts for example. Even Serif (AffinityDesigner) is not able to accomplish this - there at least you can make your own favorite´s list which is no fun to make and just works in the Glyph browser - not the drop down from the text tool.

It's a lot of scrolling! I was hoping for something like the custom colour palettes but for fonts. I'm sure it's more complicated than I think it would be to fix, but it's still a shame there isn't a solution.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, and I hope you're having a great day.

Thanks for asking the question. I just logged in to ask exactly the same thing!
