I am retired from 35+ years of managing servers and networks, with the occasional programming project (Univ of Arkansas Medical Sciences Cardiology, St. Louis Univ Medical School Biochemistry).
I have been a lifelong woodworker (furniture, kitchen cabinets, wood turning, and craft items). I have recently started using Lasers to make crafts which I hope to be a side hustle.
I think in drafting terms of straight lines and angles with a high degree of precision (xx.000). Something like a random curve makes me uncomfortable. But many in the laser community use Inkscape so I am wanting to learn it, or at least the parts needed to interface with LightBurn laser software.
I am a rank beginner and will ask many questions that those knowledgeable with Inkscape will think are stupid or overly simplistic. I ask that you remember that sometime in the past you were where I am and answer my questions.
