Hi, I've used the "outset" tool from "Path" before, and the result was the object increasing in size, with no other modifications.
However, when using it again today, the shape of the item I apply the outset option to, gets somehow rounded or bended, which I don't want to happen, I want to keep the lines straight. It happens with all the elements I create, including text.
I don't remeber changing any settings that could affect the behavior of Outset.
This looks like the scale issue again. I'd try starting with a document that has px as the units and scale of 1. It's ok to change the units after that, and let the scale adapt.

You can find a file attached with an example.
Your help is appreciated.
I'm not sure you can download the file that I attached so here is an image of what I was trying to explain.

Thanks! I did that, open a new file, set the document properties to px and scale 1, and the outset tool is working properly.
