Hi everyone. I'm pretty new to Inskscape. I have started using it so I can create objects that I turn into 3d objects in Zbrush but I think I may have drawn the path for my letter "O" incorrectly?
When I load my vector into Zbrush, there is a step I do that can great 3d objects from 2d vectors. But as you can see, Zbrush is not recognizing the path of my O correctly. I believe the most likely problem is that I didn't draw the path correctly for the O or that I have a layer or mask in the vector? But when I go to "layers and objects", I only see a single object and single path. Am I missing something?
Select a node on the inner sub-path, then use Path>Reverse. ( It may look wrong in Inkscape until the fill-rule is switched in the fill/stroke dialog.)
Thanks everyone. I think I'm getting there now. So for beginners, it's far less confusing when wanting to create the letter O but with nodes/paths by simply using the text creator first, then "make object path", then I can add nodes, etc.
When you try to manually drawn the letter "O" but not have the inside path's reversed, it seems impossible and very confusing.
Success! Yeah, the key for not having reversed paths and then incorrect vector to 3d object workflow for me is to simply use text tool, then make object paths, then just increase the nodes.
I guess when you draw the letter O manually, I am not picking the correct direction when I finish it?

I'd try reversing the inner sub path of the O.

Yes, I guess when I reversed it to look correct, it actually "broke" the path? I'll try to fix it or redraw it thanks.
