I have attached some text to the outside of a circle, via the 'Put on Path' option, but when I select everything and try to move it the circle moves but the text flies off in the opposite direction. As far as I know I have 'centred' both objects in the same place, why is this happening?
Could you have perhaps moved the text independently of the circle after you clicked 'Put on Path'? Even though the text is linked to the circle, you can still move it on its own, and you may have moved or rotated the text only, while thinking you were moving/rotating the circle. If this is the case, when you click on the circle and try to move it, you get odd behaviour as the text's rotation centre is no longer aligned with the circle's, and it moves in odd directions.
Probably the simplest thing is to to remove the link to the circle (click Text / Remove from Path) then repeat Text / Put on Path. If it's only one piece of text, this is easy enough to do, and it gets the objects 'in sync' with each other again.
Actually no, sorry I got this wrong. I am trying to resize the whole image and when I drag the corner of the image outwards everything seems to seperate in different directions(??)

Thanks for the reply, will give it a try. 👍

I worked out a solution. I had to 'group' all the parts of the image and then I was able to resize with no problems. 😊
Glad you figured it out. :)
Thanks. Another lesson learnt! :)
