I have imported 2 jpg images of my backyard to the first layer. On a new layer, I added Inkscape paths to designate areas I want to change. My goal is to get these images with the overlaid paths into a Word document so I can add text describing the project.
If I Save as a PDF, it look perfect in Adobe Reader, but if I try to copy the image, only the image gets copied not the paths. From inkscape,
If I Print... and select my PDF printer driver, same thing.
If I select the image and all paths, and try to copy/paste into Word, all I get are the paths.
How do I save and/or print this so the images and paths are rendered in the Word document?
As I write this I see I could do both and overlay them in Word, which should work, but I'm still would like to know how to do that in one copied image into word?
Thank you for the suggestion. That worked but I had to open the file in Paint (that's what is available on my system) and copy it from there. Not my favorite app.

I'd try: Save a copy as xxx.emf.

I don't have Word, but it opens fine in LibreOffice Writer, which you can save as a Word doc or print, etc.
