Upgraded from 1.1.2 to 1.2.1 and have lost many things. One is being able to see all the pens trail lines whilst drawing until finished on white background. You can only see the most recenet trail line as in the pink one in the image below. How can I get it back.
The problem is simple, how do I change the colour from white to something else. 1.2.1 has changed it to white, hence you can't see it on a white background.
As requested: W10. I have also uploaded a screen capture video, see the attachment. Hopefully it works. In it you can see the trailing pink tail but then it disappears until complete. Disregard the green curser that's part of the screen capture program. Normally it should leave a trail, I think used to be green.
This is how I changed my highlight-color-2 https://inkscape.org/forums/questions/change-colour-on-pencil-tool-preview/#c42898
Thanks Aero, that fixed it. So much so that it was something I broke and not a bug. When I upgraded, my svg's having many layers gave me headaches with the new multicoloured Layer Panel so I backed up the original highlight file and then modified it so that all layers are greyish in colour, by the time I discovered the tracking error I had forgotten that I had made changes to some files. I guess that file is used as a generic template for other things as well.
I guess I'll have to change the multicoloured layers one by one.

I have reset all settings and it still persists.
Did you reset the Preferences?
Yes, as stated in my question: I have reset all settings and it still persists.

Not reproduced in 1.2.1, Win, LinuxMint.
Joeslow, can you take a screenshot at the moment the problem occurs? Do like this:
1) Open Inkscape and draw the shape;
2) Go to the "Fill and Stroke" dialog and click on the "Stroke Style" tab. Take the screenshot.
3) If it worked, it will look something like this (I cropped the image to make it smaller):

I'd report it as a bug. https://inkscape.org/forums/beyond/how-to-report-bugs-or-request-new-features/

Thanks again.
