I'm posting it there because I haven't found a topic talking about that, but I may mistaken. I'm drawing paths which I filled with gradient, no outline (to make embroidery later with inkstitch). I saved my document, and when I reopened it, after clicking on the path, the shape of the fill changes. Very annoying and it does that for each of the shapes I made. I attach the original shape, and next to it the shape after click.
The only thing that prevent the shape from changing, is using the path tool to click on the shape (but after it will change anyway) I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I have the feeling I tried all the tools within inkscape but it changes everytime... I hope you'll have an idea to help...
Alright so I had an answer sent directly in private, and it seems that :
"the shape is controlled by a path effect. The path effect can be "flattened" using the path effect dialog or by selecting Menu:Path>Object to path. After that, the shape may be less likely to change erratically."
-> Indeed, it fixes all of the issues I have, and works fine for me !

Wow, I'm glad that helped! I wasn't sure after testing on my end, so I took my post down. 🙈
Yes it works fine, and it also prevent the shapes from moving after inkstitch generation, thanks a lot !
