I opened a file on my new PC after just installing the current release .92.4, that was made on my old PC with .92.1 (I think? or .92.0?)

I opened the file on my old PC, and I checked the object. The pixels X,Y was exactl 10.0.0.0.1 y the same, but when I changed the units to mm, the y coor was off by ~2?4? mm. I corrected the location with the units on mm and it lined up again.hotmail.com
What caused this issue? I also noticed some of the bounding boxes of the objects selected seemed a bit too large for the object.
It was text with an embossing filter applied. Other objects didn't seem impacted. I think something changed with the bounding of the objects and since they must have been aligned to some other object, that bumped them down?
In Inkscape on your old computer did you use Geometric bounding box maybe? In Preferences - Tools - Bounding box to use, the default setting is Visual bounding box.
If you still have issues, please share a sample SVG-file, or at least a screenshot of the relevant SVG-code for the document scale from your old computer. You can find this in the XML-editor in Inkscape even in older versions.
With either version of Inkscape, did you ever change the Scale setting in Document Properties? You mentioned changing the units. And when you changed the units, you might have noticed the Scale setting changed. And you might have tried changing it back?
You should not ever touch that Scale setting. When it changes when you change the units, that's ok. Just ignore it. That's just what Inkscape has to do, to maintain mm as the native units.
