    Hi

I'm using a multi-monitor setup (3 in total, 2 using 2560 resolution and 1 using 3840 resolution). If I open a menu it is shown on the screen with 3840 resolution which is the main screen and also the screen of the laptop. Is there a solution to get this resolved?Β

    Thanx

It's not clear which monitor you would like to have the menus display. That said, have you tried changing which monitor is primary in your computer display settings?

    Hi Tyler,

I might indeed need to elaborate on the situation, be aware that it has been resolved by replacing the DLL files which are available on Github. As I haven't found a solution and have seen other posts somewhere else except for here, let me elaborate:

    • I'm using a laptop, Dell XPS 15 with UHD screen, using a resolution of 3840 x 2400. This is my primary screen.Β
    • I have 2 additional 27" monitors / screens using a resolution of 2560 x 1440
    • I want to use Inkscape on one of the two 27" screens, and while doing so the menu shows up on the side of primary screen (I can't provide a screen copy as I have replaced the DLL files)

As I have also reached out on chat, I got advised to checkout a github post referring to the same. After testing this with the development version I have copied the DLL files (libgdk-3-0.dll and libgtk-3-0.dll) to the bin directory of Inkscape. This has resolved my issue.Β

The issue behind this is known for other programs as well, with high resolution screens DPI scaling ofter leads to these kind of issues.Β

I've started using Inkscape finally, I have to get experienced but now I can spend time on it :)Β

    Cheers

    André
