I have been trying to find a solution to this problem for the past few hours. I installed the .msi file version 1.2 on windows 10 from the inkscape website. Also I did install it on my E:\ drive which is my SSD. I have tried re-installing inkscape and resetting my preferences. If I need to provide anymore information or screenshots I will.

Is E: the Windows system drive? If not, I'd consider installing on the system drive instead.
