I have recently upgraded from version 1.0 to 1.2.1. I found it is too slow when scroll the screen or drag an object. It is even I have only one or two overlapping object. I see white rectangles and they filled with object color in half or one second. This is really annoying. Any fix for this? I am now considering to going back to my previous version. Off course I will loose new features and bug fixes but I really hard to work when we have to do this action very commonly.
1. I have Windows 10, Lenovo laptop, i5, 8GB with basic in-built graphic card (probably 2GB).
2. Previous Inkscape version which used to work fine - 1.0
3. Current version which has this issue - 1.2.1
4. Sorry I could not capture the screenshot of this behavior and I have also not found any option to attach the .svg file in the post box.
5. But steps to reproduce it:
1. Create a new document, with page border off
2. Create two overlapping rectangles, You can color them differently.
3. Group these two.
4. Now zoom in to 200% +.
5. Now if you try to scroll the document using scrollbars, it lags.
6. Or if you pickup these objects and drag here and there, it lags.
Please let me know if you need any more information. I would really appreciate if someone can help me. Not sure if there is any configuration setting somewhere in Inkscape which can fix it.
Thanks. I have checked the filed bug and it is the exact issue. Any idea when I would be fixed. I have tried every configuration and resetting, even uninstalling and reinstalling but issue still persist. I think the only way to go back to previous version. I have never installed 1.1.2, as I had 1.0 and then directly upgraded to this 1.2.1 version. Please can you let me know if 1.1.2 is good and does not have this issue so I can install it?
Thanks. I have now uninstalled 1.2.1 and installed 1.1.2. This version does not have this issue and my objects are dancing across screen without any glitchΒ π. Hope next update fix this issue. Thanks.

Before proceeding further, please reset the preferences relaunch Inkscape and test.
I have virtually the same issue, came from 1.1.2 to 1.2.1 and it's buggy. Somebody else has already registered it as a bug two weeks ago.

I didn't have the issue in 1.1.2. The current 1.2.1 has broken a few things with me so even I may be going back to 1.1.2 as well.
You may want to add your voice and specs to the bug, that way it may get more attention from the developers.
