Hello. I am attempting to have no stroke lines in between the brown and the grey areas of my picture, but to keep the stroke lines everywhere else. I have drawn the brown objects on top of the grey. I have successfully removed the bottom segment from the brown box at the top of the pile and it continues to hold its shape and keep the brown fill in the right place. But when I removed two adjacent segments from the brown box on the right I also lost the node on the corner and it reduced to a three-sided appearance. Thanks for any help.ย
I would not remove the segments from the brown objects, but instead turn off the strokes. If needed, I'd also duplicate the grey object and remove its fill so its stroke is in front of all the objects.
The rounded/straight corners are quite a puzzle! I don't understand why the straight stroke has to makeย tiny pointy bits like that. Shouldn't it align better with the line going off of it?ย
Anyway, I might settle on this: grey no stroke <ย brown with rounded brown stroke < black rounded stroke on top.ย

Only thing to avoid this to separate color filled shapes and strokes:
To get the edges to align perfectly, the brown objects can have a brown stroke, before adding the stroke-only grey object on top.
Agreed - but sharp corners will comeย with other side-effects:
Thanks so much! This is great.ย

Probably lower the one brown shape under the grey one.
ย
That seems to make the grey one protrude too much around its own edges.ย
Just because of:
Oh I see
